Forecast Snow Stability: There will be a general snowpack consolidation and stability will continue to improve throughout the forecast period. However, minor surface wet snow instabilities may occur later as rain and rising temperatures affect deeper accumulations on steep terrain on all aspects above 750 metres. Any remaining cornices will become fragile. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry overnight, with light rain at all levels arriving around midday, intensifying through the afternoon. The moderate West wind will back Southerly by dawn, strengthening South-Easterly with summit gales late afternoon. The freezing level will briefly dip below the highest summits overnight, rising well above the tops by daybreak. Observed Weather Influences: A mild and cloudy day. Hill fog, drizzle and pulses of rain in the morning, brighter in the afternoon. Light to moderate West wind. Freezing level at highest summit level. ObservedSnowStability: A thawing snowpack except at highest summit level. Little snow remains below 400 metres. Wet snow instabilities exist in recent accumulations of windslab, particularly affecting steep North-West to North-East aspects at higher elevations. Remaining cornices are fragile. Elsewhere, the wet snowpack is consolidating with improving stability. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
