Forecast Snow Stability: Better consolidated snow in most locations. Some residual wet snow instability mainly on steep North-East through East to South-East aspects above 950m. Some of these locations are overhung by weakening cornices which will be prone to sudden collapse in the sustained thaw. Some potential for full depth avalanches on very steep East facing slopes and crags; falling ice also expected to be an objective danger in similar locations. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Forecast Weather Influences: Some light rain late in the period otherwise dry. Mild throughout. Observed Weather Influences: A brief period of overnight rainfall then dry for the rest of the day. Mild throughout. ObservedSnowStability: Snow is consolidating well in many places. Some residual wet snow instability persists on very steep ground on North East through East to South East aspects above 950m. Many of these places are overhung by moist weak cornices. Good stability in most other places. Many gullies are littered with recent and older cornice or avalanche debris. Significant cornice collapse observed at 1258hrs into Raeburns Gully. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
