Avalanche Activity

New snow and wind slabs above approximately 1600 m. As a consequence of new snow and wind individual dry avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger. Isolated mostly small avalanches are possible in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain.

Snowpack Structure

Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls mostly small wind slabs formed. As a consequence of low temperatures the snowpack could not consolidate.
