Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will freeze and consolidate in the colder conditions. The greatest deposits will remain on West through North to East aspects above 900 metres. Any fresh deposits are not expected to be significant. Stability will remain good throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: It will turn colder with the freezing level dropping to around 700 metres. It will remain cloudy with some light snow from time to time. Winds will be from the South-East. Observed Weather Influences: It was cloudy day with some light rain falling as wet snow above 1100 metres. The freezing level was around 1200 metres during the morning, dropping slightly during the afternoon. Winds were from the South-East. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is wet in all locations. It continue to slowly thaw and consolidate. There was a slight refreeze at higher level during the afternoon. Stability is generally good and any fresh deposits were not significant. The avalanche hazard is Low.
