15 cm of snow, and up to 30 cm in some localities, will fall, especially above approximately 2000 m. The sleet will give rise in the afternoon to increasing moistening of the snowpack below approximately 2200 m. Caution is to be exercised in particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 4 (high). The dry avalanches can be released in the new snow and wind slab layers and reach large size in isolated cases. In the typical avalanche paths in particular these can reach the valleys. As the snowfall level rises small and medium-sized wet and gliding avalanches are to be expected below approximately 2000 m. For those venturing off piste a critical avalanche situation will be encountered over a wide area.

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field. Over a wide area 20 to 30 cm of snow, and up to 50 cm in some localities, fell during the day. The old snowpack will be generally well bonded. The upper section of the snowpack is unfavourably layered. The sleet gave rise in the afternoon to moistening of the snowpack below approximately 1700 m.
