The overall avalanche danger is generally LOW on the Skyline today.
LOW danger does not mean NO danger. There is a threat of avalanches but that threat is pretty low and unlikely.
The sun and warming temperatures may make the newest snow become unstable. Avoid steep slopes and stay out of ravines if the snow becomes really wet and sloppy.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: Riding conditions were again excellent on Monday. It's not deep dry powder but super fun carvable snow. It should be good this morning still but get it while the gettin' is good. Warm temperatures are sure to start taking a hit on the riding conditions. Light snowfall on Monday didn't add up to much. There was a little wind on Monday but it generally stayed light with a few moderate speed gusts now and then from the northwest. Temperatures stayed in the mid 20s and dropped into the teens overnight at a number of stations.
Mountain Weather: It's going to be a sunny day today with temperatures getting into the mid 30s. Wind will be light from the northwest. Wednesday and Thursday will be warmer. Temperatures cool slightly on Friday ahead of a minor storm Friday night. The storm looks pretty small and at this point doesn't look like it'll produce much snow.
