Avalanche conditions are generally stable. You are unlikely to trigger an avalanche on the widespread hard, icy, and crusty snow surface.

Expect to find a firm, icy, or crusty snow surface today that is widespread across avalanche terrain. You will need crampons, an ice ax, and sound mountaineering skills in order to safely travel in steep terrain. A slip or loss of footing in the current icy conditions could have terrible consequences in steep terrain.

Low avalanche danger does not mean no avalanche danger. Continue applying risk management protocols like using a beacon, shovel, and probe, and safe travel techniques when traveling in avalanche terrain.
