Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and stabilise on all aspects and altitudes, where it will remain generally well bonded throughout. South facing slopes will soften during the day. Any remaining cornices above SE to SW aspects will be unstable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry throughout with fresh to strong South-Westerly winds. Inversion conditions with the freezing level around 800 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with spells of sunshine and light to moderate Southerly winds. Inversion conditions with a midday summit temperature of 6 degrees Celsius. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is softening on sun exposed slopes and continues to consolidate and stabilise on all aspects and altitudes. Any remaining cornices above SE to SW aspects remain unstable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
