Avalanche Activity

The fresh wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.

More recent wind slabs have formed especially in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. This applies in particular above approximately 2400 m. Wind slabs can as before be released by a single winter sport participant. Gradual decrease in danger of moist and wet avalanches as the temperature drops.

Snowpack Structure

Some fresh snow and the sometimes deep wind slabs are poorly bonded with the old snowpack.

Tendency

Gradual decrease in danger of moist and wet avalanches as the temperature drops.
