All cornices will remain suspect in the thawing conditions, with the additional hazard of falling rocks and ice in crag areas. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: A moist and mild airflow will continue to affect the area. Strong West-South-West winds will ease South-Westerly overnight. Observed Weather Influences: It has been another mild day with Freezing Levels above the summits. Light drizzle at times affected the area, accompanied by strong West-South-West winds. ObservedSnowStability: The steady thaw has resulted in a now much depleted, moist and generally well stabilised snowpack in most locations. The very patchy remaining snow cover lies primarily on North to East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
