Weather Forecast

Monday will be overcast with light flurries. Snow accumulations are expected to be between 10 and 15cm by end of day. Temperatures will remain steady near -5C with moderate to strong SW winds.

Avalanche Summary

No new avalanches observed today.

Snowpack Summary

A few flurries over the past 24 hours has done little to change the snowpack. Cooler temps and mainly cloudy skies kept the crusts frozen for the most part. On northern aspects, the snowpack is generally well settled with some isolated wind slabs in alpine terrain.

Monday could see 10 to 15cm of new snow with strong SW winds. This may lead to wind slab development at upper elevations.

Terrain and Travel

  • Fresh wind slabs will likely form throughout the day, diligently watch for changing conditions.
