Snowpack Summary
In the alpine and at treeline, snow conditions are highly variable. Generally speaking, there is very little snow on the northern and western slopes. On the eastern and southern slopes, conditions vary from windy hard snow to light snow.
Below treeline and in areas sheltered from the wind, there is between 15 and 30 cm of powder, depending on the sector. The middle of the snowpack is fairly stable. Facets are present near the crusts at the base of the snowpack. At mid-mountain, snow depth varies between 90 and 140 cm.

A low-pressure system from Colorado will cross the Gaspé Peninsula on Thursday evening.
Thursday evening and night: Snow showers. Accumulation of 10 to 15 cm. Winds from the south, 30 to 60 km/h. Low -10.
Friday: Snow flurries. Accumulation, 5 to 10 cm. Winds west, 40 to 60 km/h. Maximum -8.
Saturday: Alternating sun and clouds. Accumulation of 5 to 10 cm. Northwest winds, 50 to 70 km/h. Temperature cooling to -18.
Sunday: Alternating sun and clouds. Northwest winds, 10 to 30 km/h. Maximum -17.

- Seek out wind sheltered terrain below treeline where you can avoid wind slabs and find great riding.
- Carefully evaluate steep lines for wind slabs.

Wind slabs formed at the beginning of the week at the top of the couloirs, mainly on the eastern slopes. New wind slabs could form on the northeast to southeast slopes during the course of Friday.
