Snowpack Summary

Over the past month snow has gradually been accumulating in the alpine, recent parties have reported between 40 to100cm of snow on glaciated terrain. You can expect sluffing in steep gullies and small wind slab development in the high alpine. Caution when traveling on glaciated terrain, thin snow bridges have formed over crevasses.

Avalanche Summary

A couple skier triggered slabs have been reported over the last couple weeks, along with natural activity up to size two in steep alpine terrain following new snow and wind events. Early season avalanche hazard exists in the alpine and wind slabs and sluffing can be expected, especially following a storm. .
