Skier triggered avalanches are still possible from alpine areas where you may find that unlucky thin spot under the windslabs. Its still a thin, and variable young snowpack. Give it time to strengthen and be patient for certain steeper features to come into shape.

Weather Forecast

Its going to snow! Some time... but not soon. Very light flurries are forecast for the next few days with seasonal temperatures. Winds are forecast to be light in general with occasional gust into moderate from the SW.

Avalanche Summary

Three new sz 2 avalanches in cross loaded features at 2600m on a NE aspect. Otherwise no new avalanches were observed.

Snowpack Summary

Recent snow has only totalled up to 8cm over the past few days. This new snow is overlying mainly facets and hard slabs that formed with winds earlier last week. Windslabs in the upper snowpack is our primary concern right now. If triggerred these slabs will likely step down to one of the basal crusts and involve most of the snowpack. Be especially cautious around thin wind affected terrain.
