Highlights
The avalanche danger continues to be generally LOW today. Keep an eye out for wet avalanche activity during the heat of the day. If you are finding yourself punching deep into wet unconsolidated snow, avoid being on or below steep slopes.
A series of storms will start to impact our region and could change the avalanche conditions over the next week. The danger has been quite LOW for some time but you should anticipate that conditions could change and become more dangerous.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: The snowpack was locked up pretty decently on Monday due to a good refreeze the night before. Conditions remain mostly stable. Cold snow can still be found on upper elevation northerly aspects.
Mountain Weather: We have one more fairly warm day today before a series of storms will start to impact our area with cooler temperatures. We'll see partly cloudy skies today with more clouds in the afternoon. High temperatures will again be in the mid 30s to around 40˚F in the high country.
