    Steep, sunny slopes with uniform coverage may see surface softening. However we are not expecting significant concerns with cool temps forecast.

    Avoid travelling in these areas if wet snow and rollerballing is present. Particularly climbers in extreme terrain.

Recent Avalanche Activity

Some rollerballing out of steep, sunny slopes yesterday. Otherwise minimal activity within the region.

Current Snowpack Conditions

The recent snowfall has begun to form a base. Loaded areas in the Alpine and High Alpine now have enough snow to cover the terrain uniformly.

In general the snowpack is still very thin with rocky conditions dominating.

The cold and clear weather is driving a faceting/weakening process and will need to be monitored ahead of any new snow.

Shady slopes have good cold snow where uniform cover exists. Steep, sunny slopes have a thin crust on the snow surface.
