Highlights
The avalanche danger is generally LOW today.
People can travel through most mountain terrain today without worry of triggering an avalanche.
NOTE: A fairly dramatic warming trend through the end of the week may make the snowpack become unstable. It's possible we could see natural slab avalanches break into old weak snow near the ground by late this week.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: Cooler temperatures on Tuesday really locked up the snow surface. You'll find pretty stout crusts out there this morning before things soften up from daytime heating.
Mountain Weather: Upper elevation temperatures will get into the low 40s today. The warming trend will continue into the weekend with very warm temperatures in the store.
