Highlights
There's been no significant change in avalanche conditions. The avalanche danger on the Manti Skyline remains generally LOW.
Keep in mind that if you are getting onto very steep slopes, there's a chance that you might trigger a small wind drift near the ridgelines.
Sluffing of the surface snow should also be taken into account if you are on steep, long and sustained slopes.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions
Sunday was another very nice day to be up in the mountains with sunshine and temperatures into the mid 30s. West wind picked up a bit during the day. It is still blowing along the highest peaks but not so much in the mid elevations. Overnight temperatures were pretty mild with many stations in the upper 20s to 30˚F.
Mountain Weather
We'll see some high clouds today with very mild temperatures. It'll be in the upper 30s along the ridges. The wind shifts a little more southerly today and will probably bump up in speed late afternoon but won't get too breezy. A splitting storm will start moving through on Tuesday. I hate to say it but it looks like it'll only deliver minor amounts of snow to our area. There are more storms lined up over the next few weeks so hopefully they'll bring some more snow.
