Travel cautiously as the snowpack is shallow and hides lurking hazards.
Small avalanches may still occur during low avalanche danger.
On Friday, a few small, wind and storm slabs were triggered with explosives near Whistler.
Exposed areas are likely to have been scoured or loaded by the wind. Sheltered areas have the best riding and least slab formation. Thin sun crusts have been seen on steep south facing slopes.
A firm crust that formed in early November can be found 30 to 100 cm deep in the alpine and at treeline. Weak, sugary facets have been spotted above and below the crust. This layer isn't currently a concern, but once we receive more snow, it'll be one to watch.
Expect to find 50 to 150 cm of snow, treeline and above, with snowpack depth decreasing rapidly below 1600 m.
