Avalanche Activity

Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in steep terrain.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. This applies in particular on very steep shady slopes. In addition the wind slabs of recent weeks are capable of being triggered in isolated cases. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. Weak layers exist in the snowpack. The weather conditions will give rise to slight moistening of the snowpack in some cases above approximately 2000 m.

Tendency

In some localities precipitation. The weather report and anticipated change in the avalanche danger are uncertain. We recommend that you consult the most recent avalanche bulletin.
