Some snow will fall in some regions. The avalanche prone locations are rare but are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility. Fresh wind slabs will form in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. The small wind slabs can still be released in some cases especially on extremely steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. As a consequence of new snow and strong wind the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.

In some regions 5 to 10 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall above approximately 1800 m. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak. Fresh wind slabs will form in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. In high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Also at intermediate and high altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
