As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase in particular on very steep sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

The early morning will see quite favourable conditions over a wide area, but the danger of wet avalanches will increase later. The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day. On south facing slopes in all altitude zones only a little snow is lying.

The avalanche danger will increase during the day.

Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase in particular on very steep sunny slopes.

The avalanches can in isolated cases reach medium size. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.
