Forecast Snow Stability: A period of localised instability during the afternoon with the onset of rain and milder temperatures. Most affected areas will be steep North-West to North-East facing coire rims and gully tops above 950 metres. Better stability in all other locations. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers during the morning followed by rain at all levels during the afternoon. Strong South-South-East winds. Initially cold but much milder at all altitudes from midday. Observed Weather Influences: Light overnight snow showers then dry. Very cold in heavily shaded areas but much milder where sun-exposed. Light variable winds. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most locations. A thin general cover of fresh snow above 800 metres. Some very thin, soft wind-drifted snow on a few steep South facing aspects above 1000 metres, which bonded up quickly during the morning. The avalanche hazard is Low.
