Forecast Snow Stability: Dry cold and settled conditions will maintain a mainly stable limited snowpack which will be firm and icy on exposed slopes. Localised surface instabilities may form on the steepest slopes if affected by solar warming, these areas will generally be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A cool and dry, generally North-Easterly airflow will affect the area overnight and on Saturday. Winds will be fresh, the freezing level will be around 500-600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Damp and mild conditions affected the area overnight, mainly dry today with a cooler Northerly airflow. The freezing level is around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack which mainly exists in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries is generally stable and remains firm and icy on the highest slopes. Localised surface instabilities exist on the steepest slopes were affected by solar warming, these areas are in the main avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
