Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses.

The early morning will see quite favourable conditions generally. As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually. Backcountry tours, off-piste skiing and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded timely.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a strong crust. The spring-like weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. In particular on sunny slopes as well as at low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
