Avalanche Activity

In some localities some new snow to above approximately 2200 m.

The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. In some localities 2 to 5 cm of snow will fall from midday above approximately 2200 m. As the temperature drops hardly any more moist and wet avalanches are to be expected below approximately 2400 m.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack will be in most cases moist. It is largely stable and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Tendency

The danger of dry and moist avalanches will persist.
