Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche in freshly-drifted snow at upper elevations. Snowfall accompanied by strong westerly winds will begin on Sunday morning and raise the avalanche danger throughout the day. Avoid smooth, dense lens-shaped pillows of snow directly below ridgelines and convex rollovers and inside gully features. Shooting cracks within the new snow are an obvious sign of instability and an indication to move to wind-sheltered slopes for safer travel.
