Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth lie upon a basal layer of weak faceted snow. Strong winds have added an additional load to these slabs making them easier to trigger. Yesterday a snowboarder was able to trigger an 18 inch deep hard slab on a south-southwest aspect on Angle Mountain. Similar events could be triggered today on wind loaded slopes and have the potential to step down to the ground.
