The snowpack is mostly stable. The potential for avalanche activity is limited to rare isolated areas above 7500 feet where a very slight chance persists to trigger hard slabs to two feet that lie upon old crusts in very steep, untracked terrain.

On Friday, stronger periods of snowfall are expected during the late morning to early afternoon. Temperatures are to be cooler with mountain temperatures reaching the mid twenties. West winds are to have ten to twenty mile per hour averages. The general avalanche hazard will be Low. Avalanche activity is unlikely except for in a few isolated areas, particularly in steep shaded terrain, where a slight chance persists to trigger old hard slabs. No hazard is expected with the new snow until significant accumulations occur.
