Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Yesterdays strong west winds and new snow formed new soft slabs up to two feet in depth on leeward aspects. These slabs lie upon a weak layer of faceted snow and are likely to be easily triggered in steep wind loaded avalanche prone terrain.
