Highlights

New soft slabs to three feet in depth exist on steep wind loaded aspects at mid and upper elevations. These slabs could be triggered by backcountry users today and have the potential to pull out deeper harder slabs that lie on slick crusts and faceted snow. Skiers released such slides yesterday in the Rock Springs drainage near Teton Village and the Mail Cabin drainage near Teton Pass. Smaller slabs could be triggered at lower elevations where steep terrain should be avoided.
