Avalanche Summary

You might trigger an avalanche in recently wind-drifted snow near and above treeline. On some northerly or east-facing slopes, an avalanche might break deeper into weak snow near the ground.

There is increasing potential for loose wet avalanches. Avoid traveling on steep slopes with unsupportable, soggy, wet snow. The amount and depth of soggy snow will increase through the day, so slopes may become more dangerous as the day progresses.

Look for safer options in wind-sheltered and shady terrain.
