Strong northwest winds on Sunday created small slabs on leeward terrain features, especially in the northern portion of the range. These will generally be easy to manage, but could form in unusual places lower on the slope than normal. The most dangerous avalanche you might trigger will be on a northerly or easterly-facing slope, where an avalanche can break in weak snow near the ground. Look for safer options in wind-sheltered terrain.
