Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche in a drift of fresh snow on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes at upper elevations. Look out for cracking and avoid fresh, pillowy, lens-shaped drifts below ridgelines and in cross-loaded terrain features. Safer travel can be found in wind-sheltered and lower-elevation terrain, where the new snow remains unconsolidated.
