Avalanche Summary

The most dangerous slopes are recently wind-drifted slopes just below ridgelines most likely facing northeast and east. Avoid traveling on or under steep slopes facing northwest through north to east to reduce your chances of being caught in an avalanche large and dangerous avalanche. Watch out for loose avalanches on south-facing slopes in the afternoon once the snow surface gets wet. Even a small loose avalanche can drag you down a slope. Give cornices an extra wide margin as well this week as things warm up.
