Highlights
With nine inches of new snow and strong southwest winds, slabs up to two feet in depth could be human triggered today on steep, wind loaded aspects at the mid and upper elevations. If triggered, these slabs could step down to buried weak layers of faceted snow or the ground surface to depths of four feet. Weak surface hoar underlies the new snow on all aspects making travel in avalanche terrain not recommended. At the lower elevations avalanches are possible on steep, wind loaded terrain.
