Small to medium-sized loose snow avalanches are to be expected as a consequence of the new snow. In the event of prolonged bright spells this applies on extremely steep slopes and. The new snow-covered wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases above approximately 2600 m, caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines, as well as at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. On the Main Alpine Ridge and in high Alpine regions the likelihood of avalanches is a little higher. Avalanches can reach medium size in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation. Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.
