Snowpack Structure

The new snow of the last few days is lying on top of a weakly bonded old snowpack above approximately 1900 m. In some cases new snow is lying on a wet old snowpack.

Avalanche Activity

New snow is to be evaluated critically.

Small avalanches are possible in isolated cases as before. Above approximately 1800 m and on steep west, north and east facing slopes the avalanche danger is one level higher. Also in gullies and bowls the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent.
