Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will refreeze above 900 metres. No significant new snow is expected. Below 900 metres, the snowpack will continue to gradually thaw. Snowpack stability is expected to be generally good. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will lower to around 900 metres and the winds will be moderate to strong from the South-West. No significant precipitation is expected. Observed Weather Influences: Rain during the day with the freezing level above the summits. Strong South-Easterly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is thawing at all levels. Existing instabilities, mainly on steep North, North-East and East aspects, started to consolidate during the afternoon. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
