Avalanche Activity

Fresh wind slabs above approximately 2200 m.

The small quantity of fresh snow of the weekend and in particular the mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on steep north, northeast and east facing slopes above approximately 2200 m. In addition as the day progresses further small avalanches are possible. This applies in particular on very steep sunny slopes,.

Snowpack Structure

The fresh snow of the weekend and the wind slabs are lying on top of a quite favourable old snowpack. The surface of the snowpack is frozen, but not to a significant depth.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will not decrease for the time being.
