Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected. The snowpack will remain generally stable. Most of its surface will be frozen and firm, though some softening may occur during the day where exposed to the effects of solar radiation. Glide cracks will continue to widen on selected East aspects below around 800 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to be dry, with overnight light variable winds strengthening to moderate Southerly during the day. The summit temperature will rise to around -2C during the day. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry generally bright cool day, with light mainly Northerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally stable. Its surface is frozen and firm in most places, though in some sun exposed locations it did soften later. Glide cracks continue to widen on selected East aspects below about 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
