Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain generally well bonded and stable throughout, slowly thawing at lower elevations and refreezing around summit levels. A light dusting of new snow is likely on the higher summits, but will not be in significant amounts. Most snow remains on North, through East to South-East aspects above 700 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The very strong South-East airflow will ease overnight, becoming light to moderate through the day, veering South in the afternoon. There will be light showers throughout the period, with some sleet and snow on the highest summits. Overnight, the freezing level will lower to summit or just below summit level. Observed Weather Influences: A largely dry, very mild and very windy day. The freezing level remained well above the highest summits and the strong South-East wind persisted throughout the day with summit gales. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable throughout, with a slow thaw at all elevations. There are isolated pockets of wet snow instabilities on steep North to East aspects above 850 metres, otherwise, the snow is firm with a surface softening occurring in most locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
