Windy and cold temperatures are expected for the next few days. The snowpack is still thin and just starting to cover the trees and rocks.
WEDNESDAY Night: Mainly clear, light to moderate northeast wind, treeline temperature -5 C, freezing level 500 m.
THURSDAY: Clear skies, light northeast wind, treeline temperature -4 C, freezing level 500 m.
FRIDAY: Clear skies, light northeast wind, treeline temperature -5 C, freezing level 500 m.
SATURDAY: Mix of sun and cloud, light east wind, treeline temperature -3 C, freezing level 800 m.
We haven't received any reports of recent avalanche activity. Most of the region has very thin snow cover. If you see anything while out in the field, please consider sharing that information with us and fellow recreationists via the Mountain Information Network (MIN).
Strong northeast winds have been blowing around the 5 to 15 cm of snow that fell on Sunday. However, the snowpack is probably not deep enough to produce avalanches.
