Highlights

At the upper elevations isolated pockets of soft surface slab up to 16 inches deep lie upon slick old snow surfaces. These shallow slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into steep avalanche starting zones. Once triggered the debris from these slabs could carry humans over cliffs, down steep slopes or bury them in terrain traps. As the day progresses sunshine and increasing temperatures will increase the sensitivity of these slabs to human triggers and may cause wet slides on steep sunlit aspects at any elevation.
