Dense new snow driven by west winds will fall upon cold light density snow that is poorly bonded to old snow surfaces. New soft slabs up to two feet deep and loose snow sloughs are likely to be sensitive to human triggers. As the day progresses the hazard will increase. Natural avalanche activity is possible. Deeper instabilities persist in the snowpack. Full depth hard slab avalanches could be human triggered or be triggered by the failure of shallower surface slabs.
