Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. At upper elevations, pockets of slab from a foot to 18" in depth lie on crusts and could be triggered today by backcountry users on steep wind loaded slopes. Loose snow avalanches are also likely to be triggered and although they may start with a small amount of moving snow, can rapidly gain mass as they descend the slope. If signinficant warming and sun occur today, loose snow sluffing and sunballing are likely.
