Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of unstable snow exist on steep, wind loaded aspects. These areas could hold slabs to 8 inches deep that rest on slick crusts. Beneath the surface rotten snow extends to the ground. Repeated high marking will weaken steep slopes and could cut loose dangerous, hard slab avalanches. Avoid exposing more than one rider at a time, carry rescue equipment and practice using it.
