Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS slabs up to four feet in depth lurk in steep areas that have not seen recent avalanche activity. A snowmobiler was caught and killed in just such a slide Saturday on the west side of the Salt River Range. These slabs could still be human triggered. Today, as the snowpack warms up, the chance of wet, loose slides from steep cliff areas, cornice collapses or human triggers will increase at all elevations.
