Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning increasing to MODERATE this afternoon. Isolated pockets of soft slab up to a foot in depth exist in upper elevation avalanche terrain. These shallow slabs lie upon a slick crust and could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas. Wet slab and wet loose avalanches will become possible on all steep snow covered slopes as temperatures rise and the snow snowpack softens, particularly on sunlit slopes. The last forecast for the season will be posted tomarrow, Sunday April 20th.
