Avalanche Summary

New snow and wind-drifted slabs are increasing avalanche risk. You could trigger a small slide on slopes steeper than about 35 degrees, where 8+ inches of new drift sits on top of an old snow surface. Identify suspect slopes and avoid them to prevent triggering an avalanche.

This hazard is most prevalent above treeline on north, northeast, and east aspects.
